Welcome

What!  Another fool with ideas on "how" to stop hackers from infiltrating into "protected" networks!?!

Can you even claim to be able to 'protect' networks?

Well - yes and no...

First off,  only a fool would ever make such a claim as to say they can stop all hacker access, especially with the intrinsically insecure systems in use today.  If you check around you will find, in the last couple of years, even the 'Big Boys' of software and network security have been victims of hack attacks, drive by webbing and spear phishing tactics which have netted a great deal of unauthorized access that we know about!!!  I suspect the actual level of unauthorized access is much higher than anyone is claiming occuring!

What I am trying to convey is that until changes occur in the way security is perceived, how computer systems are protected and the types of protection methods employed and how people in general view the use of computers, we are fighting a hopeless cause!  the current use of anti-virus software as a line of defense on workstations and servers (end-points in a network) is just being knee-jerk reactionary to the problem at hand.  When you figure that even the best anti-virus, anti-malware software applications are, at best, about 85% effective you have to wonder...  Are we doing it right to begin with???  More to follow ... ---...
